Cannabis Moving Forward

In spite of all the reasons against it, medical and otherwise, marijuana use seems to be rising.  Therefore, it is likely time we talk about treating its abuse related issues.  Believe it or not marijuana appears to follow the same addiction needs as every other drug on the planet.  No really.  This article reminds me of a study published in the Archives of General Psychiatry way back in Vol. 43, No. 8.  The writers state in a study they could not  figure out which patients did only marijuana and which did other drugs.  They actually say this information, “could not be disentangled.”  So guess what.  Those meeting the criteria for cannabis withdrawal are more likely to relapse, like every other drug on the planet.  Who knew?  Don’t take my word for it:
